Federal Government Reforms NYSC
Federal Government of Nigeria has approved the Reformation of National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) , marking the first reform in history since 53 years ago.
The news was declared by the minister of Youth Development.
The changes aid to transform the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) program to highly modernized, skill driven, and productivity focused institution.
Structural NYSC Reformation Changes
1. Civilian Leadership:
The Federal Executive Council announced that the NYSC program leadership will shift from military to civilian but the military will continue to provide security to the program.
2. Extended Orientation:
The Federal Government said that the camp Orientation will be extended from 3 weeks to 6 weeks.

3. Specialized Corps Stream:
They also ensured that the program will handle many programs like technology, digital technology and a lots more
4. Skills Based Deployment
FG assured the prospective members that the government will provide enough skills acquisition for Corp members and also provide start up kits.
5. Safety Management:
FG also promise to provide adequate security in the orientation Camp

1. Redesign New Uniform
2. Issuing of Camp Certificate
3. Formal Graduation
