Soap is one of the important item used by people in the world for home and Industrial purposes.
Soaps is used for washing , both for laundry services and for home services. It makes an item sparkling clean and neat.
Making a soap is a great opportunity for individuals that wants to be self employed. Soap can comes in liquid, solid and powdered form.
Before making a Soap, you must take warning of these safety precautions to avoid accident.
Safety Precautions
1. Work in a well-structured and ventilated area
2. Wear a long sleeved cloth
3. Put on rubber hand gloves
4. Boots
5. Nose mask
6. Eye protection or goggles
Soap Ingredients
1. Fats/Oils
2. Scents
3. Natural Colorant
4. Lye
5. Liquid (water)
Quantity of Soap Ingredients
1. Oil & Fats: 300g of olive oil, 135g of coconut oil, and 50g of Shea or cocoa butter
2. Lye: 80g of sodium hydroxide
3. Liquid: 160g of distilled water
Step by Step Procedures on how to produce Soap
1. Prepare the Lye solution, carefully pour in the sodium hydroxide (lye) into the water
Note: Do not pour water into sodium hydroxide to avoid accident
2. Melt the Fats and oil: Bring a large bowl, melt the coconut oil and butter over low temperature. After melting, add the olive oil
3. Mix the Lye solution and the olive oil together and allow it to cool
Note: Do this process slowly and carefully
4. Blend the solution and stir gently until it is completely mixed
5. Add your additives, including essential oils, scent etc.
6. Pour the mixture in a molds
7. Allow it to cure for 4 to 6 weeks (Approximately a month and two weeks)
8. Cut into shapes or bar.
