MTN Suspends Airtime And Data Borrowing Services Temporary
Mobile Telecommunication Network Company (MTN) has temporarily suspended borrowing of Xtratime (airtime) and Xtrabyte (data) from its customers.
As of April 16, 2026, MTN announced to the public that there will be no longer borrowing airtime and data services for mtn customers.
Reason for the suspension is that there would compliance with the new Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (FCCPC).
This Entails that you cannot borrow mtn Xtratime (airtime) and Xtrabyte (data) from MTN by dialing ×303# or ×606#.
Secondly, this will help the customer to repay their previous airtime and data loan that has been accumulated for years, months, weeks, and days.
This will help MTN recover their loans from their customers.
MTN Customers has made it known to public that they can no longer access the airtime and data borrowing service portal.
They also beckoned to MTN to restore the service back as it has affects so many businesses and communications between families, friends and loved ones.
They also pleaded to MTN to upgrade their xtratime (airtime) and xtrabyte (data) services and also upgrade their network issue.
MTN assured them that the suspension was temporary.
They also said that they will upgrade their services and network issues for customer's satisfaction.
