The purpose of the scholarship program is to support students that can't meet up with financial requirements of the institution .
A monthly stipend is being offered by Midwestern Oil and Gas limited to the successful shortlisted candidates to support their education.
Before You Apply, Know These:
Midwestern Oil & Gas Company Limited is a Nigerian indigenous exploration and production company founded in 1999 and commenced operations in 2001. The company is owned by a group of Nigerian investors and the Delta State Government.
Midwestern Oil & Gas operates a joint venture with SunTrust Atlantic Energies Limited in its Marginal Field in the Southern region of Nigeria, specifically in Umusadege, Delta State. The company is the operator of the field, holding 70% interest, while SunTrust Atlantic Energies holds 30% .
Midwestern's upstream activities began in 2005, focusing on exploring and developing hydrocarbon assets safely, environmentally friendly, and cost-efficiently. The company has achieved significant milestones, including:
1. First Oil_: Achieved in 2008 at flow rates of around 3,000bopd from the Umusadege-1 well re-entry
2. Production Capacity_: Increased oil processing capacity from 25,000 barrels per day to 40,000 barrels per day
3. Gas Processing_: Increased gas processing capacity from 15 million to 25 million standard cubic feet per day
4. Storage Capacity_: Increased storage capacity from 29,000 to 110,000 barrels of oil per day

Documents requirements for Midwestern Oil and Gas Scholarship Application
To apply for the Midwestern Oil and Gas Scholarship, you will need the following documents:
University Community Award (For Host Communities Only)
1. JAMB/UTME and University admission letter from an accredited/approved university in Nigeria
2. Current University ID Card
3. Minimum of 5 Credits in SSCE or GCE, including Mathematics and English, in one sitting
4. Identification letter signed by the Community Board of Trustees (BOT)
University Merit Award (For Delta State Indigenes Only)
1. JAMB/UTME and University admission letter from an accredited/approved university in Nigeria
2. Current University ID Card
3. Minimum of 5 Credits in SSCE or GCE, including Mathematics and English, in one sitting
4. Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 3.5 and above
5. Letter of identification from LGA
Secondary School Community Award (For Host Communities Only)
1. Admission letter to a secondary school in Nigeria
2. Result of the last year in primary school or JSS 1 Result
3. Birth Certificate
4. Identification letter signed by the Ward Councilor or CACC (Community Accredited Contact-men Committee).
