Youth Economics Intervention And De- Radicalization Programme
The Youth Economics Intervention and De - Radicalization Programme (YEIDEP) which was formerly known as Nigerian Youth Economic Engagement and De-Radicalization Programme (NIYEEDEP) is a vital initiative by the Nigeria Federal Ministry of Youth Development in collaboration with commercial Banks.
It is aimed to create solutions to Youths unemployment, minimize poverty and promote national financial stability to Nigerian youths.
NIYEEDEP was officially renamed to YEIDEP by Federal Government of Nigeria on March 6, 2025, to provide Nigerians a clear view of ownership over the economic situation.
Objectives of Youth Economics Intervention and De- Radicalization (YEIDEP) Programme
1. Basic Target: It's primary targets are Youths (Nigerians) between the age of 18 to 45 years old with a massive focus on agriculture, food processing and financial sectors.
2. Financial Empowerment: Shortlisted candidates receive direct grants and financial support starting from #300,000 to #500,000 in agricultural business and other financial business.
3. De- Radicalization: The program Objective is to keep Youths busy free from idle, by providing a suitable, honest and sustainable means of livelihood (jobs).
